This Is Our Home!

This is a great song by Mike Plume that has been in my head all week.

I was thinking about it during my run and the fact that Canadians, by nature, sometimes don't tend to be as patriotic on the surface as we should be. We live in the best country in the world and there is nothing wrong with shouting it from the mountain tops from time to time.

I dare you to check out the video and tell me that you don't get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. A great song, by a very patriotic Canadian.

  1. Darn video is block from work.

Don't know if you listen to CBC Radio 2, but they have the Great Canadian Song contest going on. One of the best ways to define a country is through song, and we have some amazingly talented song writers and musicians in this country.

  3. I'm not sure why we've made it our mission to spend our lives travelling all over the globe (41 countries and counting - geesh!), but one thing I can say for sure is that it's always great to come back to Canada. We've seen a lot of beautiful places, but we're very grateful to call the best country in the world home. Thanks to Mike Plume for saying it so well!

  4. I saw an interview recently and he said that he wrote the song while he was living in Nashville.....and very homesick.

Disappointed as I've always want to see him play live and he's playing in Belleville while we're in Banff.

  5. Just wait until you see the Rockies, we're looking forward to them again in the next few weeks. You'll get a stiff neck from craning backwards as you have to leave them.
